FROM RURAL TO URBAN TO ISLAND
I grew up in rural New Mexico and then obtained a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Arizona. My career took me to Iowa and then to Chicago where I served as the CEO of a corporation which I grew from three million a year in revenue to over sixty million a year in nearly twenty years. With all of the stress and health issues taking toll after that long of a time, I decided to change my lifestyle and move to Hawaii!
Along with living in the Southwest and Midwest, my family and I have traveled to forty different countries in virtually every continent. After comparing all of those wonderful places where we traveled, my wife and I choose the Big Island of Hawaii as our home in 1997. Our children, after working in several places around the globe, currently live in London, Washington DC, and Chicago. As a champion of children’s causes, I also founded an international adoption agency in Hawaii which finds families for children who need a home who were abandoned in China and the Philippines as well as other countries.
My clients often tell me I am an unusually honest agent. I tell them everything, even if they don’t like hearing some of it! My attention to detail, born out of my experience as a CEO, led me to obtaining my Broker’s license in 2003 to further my real estate knowledge and experience built as a Realtor Salesperson previously. My clients like my attention to detail, and most often, my clients become my friends. I, too, look forward to introducing you to your part of paradise on the Big Island of Hawaii!
